From Carolyn A.:

Miss Larisa has been a godsend to our family. We started with her when my daughter was two years old, and now her little brother is there with her too! I cannot emphasize how much we have enjoyed having her caring for our kids. She creates a fun, caring environment that fosters learning of all kinds, and most of all, a love of learning. She addresses the kids kindly and respectfully, but firmly when necessary. Her discipline is kind and firm as well. She has worked with our daughter on projects and concepts at her own pace. They do craft time, play outside, go to the local playground, sing songs, and dance and play motion games. My kids eat better at her house than at mine–fresh fruits, veggies, beans, rice, pasta, and meat, and she buys food according to any special dietary restrictions. She works with families on potty training and works with each child’s pace and comfort level on that, too. She also limits screen time to lunch prep time and doesn’t have the screen on for her own consumption at all (this sounds like a no-brainer, but given my experience with other in home daycares, I can tell

you, it’s not. If you care about screen time, always ask, and get specific!!). I can spout all sorts of grown-up reasons we love Miss Larisa, but my kids, of course, can give the highest recommendation. My 1 year old son reaches for her each morning, and my 3 year old explains that she doesn’t really want to go home each afternoon. There is no higher recommendation than that!

From Kai B.

We first met Larisa when she filled in for our usual daycare provider who had to leave the country for a month. As any parents would be, we were nervous about taking our, then 11-month old, daughter to someone new. However, from day 1, Larisa did an amazing job in making sure our daughter adjusted well. A few months later, when my daycare provider informed me that she was closing her daycare and moving out of state, I immediately contacted Larisa. My husband and I were ecstatic when she said that she had a spot for our daughter.

Larisa is patient, loving, and caring; it is obvious that she loves kids and enjoys taking care of them. She provides balanced nutritional meals, plans arts and crafts activities for the kids, and engages them in learning games and other fun activities. I love getting daily text or video updates of what my daughter is doing — dancing, painting, drawing, learning the alphabet, etc. My daughter loves being at Larisa’s so much, that often times we have trouble getting her to leave when we come pick her up.

Being an attorney and working long hours in a high-stress environment, I am glad that daycare is not something I ever have to worry about. It’s a relief to know that my daughter is happy and well taken care of while I am at work. We are truly lucky to have Larisa.
