Children can learn meaningful concepts simultaneously as they PLAY in our indoor and outdoor learning environment, specific planned activities with hidden curriculum with No screen time for children under 5 years of age.
ART: Coloring, cutting and pasting, play dough, sidewalk chart art, fine motor skills
BOOKS: 1-2-3 Read Program: monthly book theme, take home kit to involve families
BLOCKS: Building, stacking, sorting, matching, counting, geometry, balancing act
CALENDAR: Daily Morning Activity: Counting days, months and days of week, talking about seasons
DANCE: Music and Movement, Animal walk and Sounds, dance free form
DRESS UP: Pretend play, dress up, zipping, buttoning and lacing
EXERCISING: Body movement and learning about body parts, gross motor skills
FIRE DRILL: Practice each month “Stop, drop and crawl” towards the exit
GAME: Finger play and other games in which each participant is a winner
GRAB BAG: Identify items in the bag with eyes close or without looking
HOLIDAYS: Celebrate all! Tell about history of holidays including various cultural and ethnic origins
I SPY: Find colors/objects/shapes around the room/outdoors
JOY OF COOKING: Baking, cooking, mixing, and learning science, math and chemistry
KNOWLEDGE ART: Daily Art Activities: Painting, pouring, cutting, taping, gluing, sticking, printing
LEAF MAGIC: Planting, growing, collecting, science, nature, painting, printing
MAKE BELIEVE: School, grocery store, post office, bank, hair salon, childcare, role play
MANIPULATION: String beads, lacing cards, blocks, pegboard, spatial learning
MIRRORS: Copy each other; make faces, reflections, near and far concept, self concept
MOVEMENT: Jumping, skipping, blowing, galloping, and dancing
MUSIC: Sing, clap; listening, audio cassettes, CDs, radio, play musical instruments, rhyming
NEWSPAPER: Word/picture search, children news section, and magazine
OUTDOORS: Nature, environment, shadows, and small and large motor development
PUZZLES: Puzzles about every day things and age appropriate
